She began her career as a volunteer with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) assisting Iraqi refugees in Jordan. This pivotal milestone laid the foundation for her human-centered field work and contributed to refining her high-level community communication skills, as well as her ability to connect with diverse groups and convey their voices and needs to decision-makers and officials.

Her professional career spans collaborations with top research firms and institutions, most notably: Ipsos STAT, Nielsen, and Reach for Studies and Research. She also worked with the representatives of Gallup International in Jordan (Al-Khotoot Al-Bayaniya company) under the management of the late Yazeed Halasa.

Maysoon progressively advanced through various professional roles, including field researcher, field supervisor, and desk researcher. She holds extensive experience in utilizing a wide range of data collection tools—spanning traditional paper questionnaires, telephone survey collection, and modern tablet technologies.

Her professional record is also highlighted by her extensive work in executing projects and programs dedicated to serving Syrian refugees, alongside her work in Palestinian refugee camps in cooperation with the Department of Palestinian Affairs in Jordan.
