Participation in the Texas University Forum with a lecture on “The Role of the Non-Profit Sector in Achieving Community Peace” as part of the activities of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service at the University of Texas, where Dr. Samir Abu-Rumman delivered a lecture on the role of the non-profit sector in achieving peace among communities. The lecture was titled “Role of NGO in using Public Opinion to Address Community Conflict: Peace Polls“
The special forum, titled “Communities and Conflict: The Role of Civil Society” covered several elements, including: identifying the strengths of the non-profit sector in achieving peace, introducing the tool of peace polls and their conditions and usage environment, a measure of harmony and peace relations in communities, and finally, proposals for their application.
