During the 2025 WAPOR Asia Pacific Eighth Annual Conference, that was held from November 21–23, 2025, at Rikkyo University in Tokyo, Japan, Dr. Samer Abu Rumman gave a presentation on “Climate Change and Economic Transformation in the State of Kuwait.” Study methodology, prepared by Prof. Abdulrazzaq Khalifa Alshayji – Kuwait University, who was unable to attend the conference.
Also, Dr. Abu Rumman delivered a presentation on the results of the study, the presentation provided an overview of the study and its objectives, presented findings from selected survey questions, and highlighted the key results emerging from the four focus groups. It concluded with a set of recommendations derived from the findings, covering the following areas: policies, governance, and public trust; energy, resources, and economic transformation; and society, public awareness, and groups most affected by climate change.
