The winning proposal for the Al-Subaie-ARNOVA Arab Philanthropy Research Award 2018 was recently announced at the Conference of The Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action (ARNOVA). This award is part of the annual prize supporting research in philanthropy and nonprofit organizations and institutions in the Arab world. Researcher Afnan Koshak won for her proposal titled “The Impact of Participatory Practices on the Grant-making Strategies of Donor Institutions.“
The ARNOVA Conference is the largest gathering of researchers in the fields of voluntary and nonprofit sectors in the world. This year, it was held in Texas, USA, with the attendance of 850 researchers. The award was announced by Dr. Samir Abu Rumman, Chair of the Evaluation Committee, which includes Dr. John McNutt from the University of Delaware and Dr. David King from Indiana University.
